Our Mission: “to bridge the gap for hospice families”

Caring for someone at the end-of life-is an awesome gift. When the Medicare hospice benefit was established in the 1980’s, many families were centered in the same community and a stay at home caregiver was the usual scenario. The hospice program is founded on the family caregiver being one of the pillars of care. Today, the family unit is much more fragile and stressed, especially when it comes to providing 24-hour care in an end-of-life situation. An alternative option for the family care giving is needed in every community.

A comfort care home provides shelter and family care when a hospice family is unable to provide that care for whatever reason. The “gap” is between what hospice offers and what families can provide.
